This charming, spacious and sunny 18th century cottage stands in an elevated south facing position overlooking open countryside on the southern edge of the Cotswolds so it is ideally placed for walkers and cyclists with footpaths and lanes direct from the front door.


The cottage has two bedrooms and two bathrooms and offers comfortable high quality accommodation for four people, or a family of 5, in a peaceful village setting yet within easy reach of Bath, designated by UNESCO as a world heritage site; the historic maritime port of Bristol and many other local attractions to suit all tastes.

Kissing Gate Cottage has recently been fully renovated to a high standard incorporating many modern amenities, yet retaining original features of oak beamed ceilings and open fires. The cottage is serenely sited down a no through road and is adjacent to the parish church of St Mary (through the kissing gate) yet it is only two to five minutes walk away from the village shops and pubs.

Full central heating is included while the modern conveniences of Freeview digital TV, digital radio, DVD, CD & WIFI internet access are other facilities that are provided for those that need to keep in touch with the outside world. Outside the Kitchen door is a south and west facing patio which is ideal for that welcome sun-downer drink or a barbeque. .

A stone tiled oak canopy welcomes visitors to the front door and entrance is into a large open plan lounge/dining room with an oak floor and two open fireplaces, one of which has a log burning stove to welcome visitors returning after an inclement day in the country or town.

Double Bedroom A double bedroom

The large bedroom has a king sized double bed and an en-suite bathroom. It has a standard size bath with shower attachment, radiator towel warmer,under tile heating,close coupled toilet, basin with mirror cabinet (shaver point & light included). The Velux window affords a fine view of the church tower. The twin bedded room is adjacent to the bathroom and has a built in wardrobe. .

The back door from the kitchen opens to a south and west facing patio so it is ideal for those lazy sun- downer drinks and/or to a enjoy a barbeque.
